Most recognized as the hitmaker behind songs such as Mlando and Ncebeleka. Toss returns to the scene with four brand new singles, packaged as an extended play.

Titled, Thought It Was Over, the EP’s backdrop and overall theme is inspired by the music Toss grew up listening to.

“Mina ngikhule nge Kwaito, I grew up listening to music from artists such as Izinyoka, Brown Dash as well as uMandoza. Those guys made music that spoke to me and my surroundings. I could relate to their lyrics, and I guess that’s why nami I am always shirtless with a bucket hat, its cause of my music idols” Toss said.

The talented star borrowed elements of kwaito, afropop and hip-hop. The latter genres are woven and fused with amapiano giving birth to his self- actualization.

Giving birth to the next chapter of his life, the self-explanatory title of the new EP allows fans to dig deeper into the star’s growth since the release of his platinum selling single, Mlando. Lyrically on Thought It Was Over, the young star carefully narrates his current state of mind and highlights the things that matter the most.

“After the success of Mlando, I needed to prove to myself that I am not a one hit wonder. I needed to show my fans ukuthi, they could count on me, so I went back to studio to create something from the heart. I stripped a lot of what was expected of me and created music I know would inspire and teach the generation I have left in the hood” continued an excited Toss

On Thought It Was Over, Toss worked with current go-to producers, Felo Le Tee Tyler ICU, Nkulee 501, Springle and Herc Cut The Lights.
