30 June 2023, Johannesburg: Yesterday the 2nd annual Basadi in Music Awards announced their return with a full list of nominees for this year’s commemoration of the impactful women in local music. The nominations party was hosted by the talented, Candice Modiselle at Joburg Theatre who looked elegant.
Speaking at the ceremony, founder of the awards, Hloni Modise said the following “We have a lot of unsung heroes and we often leave those stories to tell when they’ve passed on and that’s not what I’m about,” “I’m about celebrating each other whilst we’re still here. If there’s anything my father has taught me, is the appreciation of the people on the backend.”
