Vigro Deep has established himself as the “Baby Boy” following the release of four consecutive albums under this title. However, in August 2021, the leading young voice in Amapiano travelled to London for the first time. The trip seemingly did not just make an impact on the Ke Star producer personally. But musically too.

Having played in the AMA Fest 2021, the Boilerroom TV Amapiano special and meeting leading EDM producer-DJ, Skrillex. Vigro Deep was inspired to explore his own versatility and range, and in so doing has given fans the first sample thereof with the release of the experimental but Amapiano anchored single, I Am Vigro Deep, featuring DJ Buckz.Â

The experimental and atmospheric single grounded in Amapiano tenets sees Vigro deep explore prose for the first time. The single is affirmation that there is more to the Vrr Phaa contributor than what has been explored and shared by him before. Moreover, the single is the pre-order to the imminent release of his new album, Far Away From Home. An album which is teased as:

“Far Away From Home is the first album from Vigro Deep which is not attached to his popular nickname, Baby Boy. The double disk album is inspired by the Amapiano producer-DJ’s recent trip to London and the influences he was inspired by during his trip. Far Away From Home is the double disc album which on the one side plays with vocals, and the other disc provides a full immersive sonic listening experience. “

Marking the evolution in his sound, Virgo Deep, drops the nickname of a baby boy and showcases how international influence has influenced his own sound. Manipulating the signature intro of Amapiano, I Am Vigro Deep begins with a staccato opening of the manipulated percussion. The first break of the song opens the atmospheric and string lead arrangement in production. Thematically, the single uses prose to affirm that Vigro Deep has evolved, “gone deeper,” to discover new sonics in his growing repertoire.
