Fang Darhythm (real name Hlalefang Nomganga) is popularly known for being one half of The Rhythm Sessions duo, as well as host of their show ‘House of Love’ on Kaya FM.
2020 sees Fang pressing pause, taking time to reflect, and refocusing – an opportunity to cue new pathways, as he sets out to transverse uncharted terrains. Fang intends to immerse himself into novel creative exploits, devoting time on the production of his solo album with the intention of expressing a tapestry of Fang Darhythm inspired sounds.
Therefore, it gives us great pleasure as Fang Darhythm is now proud to announce the release of his debut single, titled “Life Just Started” featuring Oscar Toorn, which is now available on all digital platforms. The music video accompanies the release.
About ‘Life Just Started…
An afro-house vibe that doesn’t lose its soul. After the success of their collaboration on ‘Touching You’ on the 2017 album, Fang has once again called upon the soulful vocals of Oscar Toorn to set the tone for his first single as a solo artist.
“Like many others during this pandemic we are facing, when I was working on the song, I was going through life-changing moments. Lockdown, retrenchment, new ventures… but as the track progressed I kept feeling a sense of newness and rebirth…. New beginnings, new opportunities, new direction. It feels like life has just started and I knew that was the only suitable title for my first release”, says Fang.
