Johannesburg, South Africa – Thursday 28 April 2022 – SKHANDAWORLD drops new mini documentary in partnership with MTV Base South Â
Last year SKHANDAWORLD announced its new partnership with Universal Music Africa and to mark this fruitful relationship, the Kings of local Hip Hop dropped a compilation titled, Welcome To The Planet  which featured a star-studded cast including the likes of AKA, Tshego, Cassper Nyovest and Nadia Nakai

The conceptual record label, clothing and lifestyle brand co-founded by the father of Skhanda, Ntokozo “K.O” Mdluli and long-time manager and business partner, Tsholofelo Moremedi mentioned this at their launch event after joining forces with UMG “The brand was the second iteration of a world envisioned by the pioneer of the musical subgenre, Skhanda. A sound which incorporates kwaito and hip hop not only in the music but blends the two cultures together into one cohesive entity which is SKHANDAWORLD.”  Officially established in 2020, the formation of the entity, has worked on grooming new talent for Mzansi; each with a unique sound which the documentary will take you through
The Welcome To The Planet mini documentary was directed by Daniel Mavu and produced by Kuda Jemba, the documentary features Teargas alumni, Ma-E, who started his mainstream music career alongside K.O and has since grown in this industry whilst continuing to make music that has shaped local Hip Hop.  Also telling his story and how he became a part of SKHANDAWORLD is their first signee Loki, followed by Roiii, DJ Mr X and the last to be enlisted in the fold was Just Bheki. The formation of six have solidified their brand and brotherhood and would like to officially Welcome Fans To The Planet.
Also featured on the documentary are a couple of super fans who are literally on the documentary voicing out their honest opinions of how the planet has been moving and how they would like to assist the team. The Dreamteam makes a cameo in the planet’s defence and this included Thee Gobbz who is SKHANDAWORLD’s label manager and sound engineer, Themba Molongoana who does their PR and Marketing and Tsholofelo Maramedi alongside K.O who wholistically bring the conceptual record label to life and handle the day to day of this mean machine.
