ohannesburg, South Africa – Wednesday 12 April, 2022: Africa’s biggest DJ and Grammy award-winning dance music icon, Black Coffee celebrates his award in style at KONKA.
After a week of being celebrated by fellow South African’s, Black Coffee spent this past weekend doing what he does best and that is making people of Mzansi dance. The world renowned producer spent the first half of his week back in the motherland, doing media interviews whilst gearing up for a weekend filled with DJ appearances and special DJ mixes. The SBCNCSLY hitmaker ended his weekend gig guide at KONKA, an upmarket day club in the heart of Soweto and boy was he in a for a surprise.
Black Coffee was joined by fans from all over the country at KONKA who all came to shower the internationally recognized DJ with messages of love, following his Grammy award nod, which he received in Las Vegas alongside his son Esona.
The night took a special turn, when his South African record label and partner (Universal Music Africa) surprised the DJ with a plaque presentation just ahead of his set at the popular club. The well-known producer and Your Eyes hitmaker was awarded the following plaques, presented to him by Director Of Local Urban Refiloe Ramogase.
