The Bam Jive Alternative Music Festival mini concerts are a build up to the Main Bam Jive Alternative Music Festival taking place September 2019. The Festivals aim is to promote social cohesion, tolerance and the idea of a one world race,one people and one world, focusing on the ever growing underground/alternative scene through organised public engagement platforms bringing together creatives, both local and international, & the general public to connect & exchange ideas, stories and experiences. The idea is to capture and imprint the free spirit and spontaneity of arts in building a one world society, where – bridging the gap through Arts and Culture.
On our second instalment of our mini concerts 02nd of April,2019 at the Box Shop on the iconic Vilakazi precinct, home to two Nobel Peace Prize winners Ach bishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela.
The event features a spectacular line up of both Djs and performing artist all making their mark in the iconic precinct. Our event infuses creative collaborations and improvisation of street art and vibrant stalls showcasing local arts and craft and with a range of food stalls and performances.

This time around we feature BJKJKS founder/Drummer Thsepang Ramoba on a solo trip going by his new monikor RMBO, We host one third of Urban Village Mpho TUBATSI Moloi giving us his indie Afrocentric performance.
Who else to start up the live performance line up than semi soul acoustic duo S,O,R.R.Y, Mozambican born rock/reggae experimental artist Rocksteady.Live livens up the stage with his indi drum & bass set followed by mzantsi hip hop hidden germs SAM TURPIN fearlessly making his mark.

To turn a perfect afternoon to night – we’re best to announce the latest craze Afro-funk masters FrenchDuo -’ Anwo Kay DJ set(french creole which means Phezulu in zulu)to take you on a Afro-sound quest and closing off our DJ set is SA’s own, Vilakazi’s prodigal deep house son’DODA 1.
