This time around, Tech leans into a hulking beat with a magnetically melodic hook, “You one dimension, I’m three.” Meanwhile, he loads up the bars with his signature rapid-fire wordplay as he takes aim at online “comment culture” and its inherent negativity. If anybody can impress even the most bitter commenter, it’s him.

In the accompanying visual, the team invited “N9NETEEN” fans to Strange Musicheadquarters for the video under the auspices Tech wouldn’t be there—it turns out he was, and their reactions make the clip one of his most touching and hilarious yet.

Last month, he returned with “Things I Like.” Right out of the gate, it piled up 325K YouTube views on the music video and 520K Spotify streams and counting. Meanwhile,Underground Hip Hop Blog proclaimed, “The new ballad is packed with instrumental flows that highlight the intricacy of Tech’s lyricism, perfectly.”

As always, Tech continues to make headlines. Billboard noted the roar of the crowd during his appearance at The Super Bowl last month, describing him as “a son of Kansas City who has made it a point to build an industry around himself in his hometown.” He spoke to Kansas City KSHB, and The Kansas City Star chronicled his appearance at the tailgate party. The Kansas City Chiefs, for whom Tech represents as a team ambassador, went on to win Super Bowl LVII. Upon returning home to KC alongside the team, Tech stepped on stage at the victory parade in front of a reported 1.2 Million fans to perform his “Red Kingdom” anthem and claimed, “By far my biggest crowd today in my hometown of Kansas City.
