ABOUT SOL PHENDUKA
Solomzi Thandubuntu Phenduka, popularly known as Sol Phenduka is one of South Africa’s most successful and versatile DJ’s, producer, and broadcaster.
His journey with music begun at the age of 16 in 2003 in high school when he got his hands on a music making software and started crafting his own beats from his first computer.
In 2010 Sol Phenduka joined the Legendary Youth radio Station, YFM where he co-hosted the Breakfast show.
By 2013 Sol Phenduka had crafted his own unique style of music production that beautifully fused raw African sounds with soulful house music to create his own type of Tribal House music.
This led to him landing a recording deal and releasing his eponymous debut album Sol Phenduka which featured the leading hit single “Uhuru”.
In 2014 Sol Phenduka joined National Radio station 5FM co-hosting the breakfast show with DJ Fresh.
Sol Phenduka currently co-hosts Africa’s biggest podcast “Podcast and Chill “alongside MacG. He has also been co-hosting the breakfast show on Kaya 959.
When he isn’t showcasing his broadcasting prowess, he is touring South Africa and Africa as one of SA’s sought-after DJs playing on some of the countries and continent’s biggest Stages.
