Johannesburg, 06 June 2024 – Standard Bank has partnered with MTV Base to promote financial literacy during Youth Month as part of an innovative project aimed at establishing a sustainable future and empowering the youth of Mzansi. This partnership uses MTV Base’s platform to promote social change among young people, paving the road for a better financial future.
The collaboration is highlighted by the Standard Bank Newsish takeover, airing every Friday at 17:00 on MTV Base channel 322. Each week until the end of June, different Standard Bank executives are being featured on Newsish, sharing valuable tips on how to secure the bag. The themes span from “Financial Freedom” to “The Coolest Banking Jobs You Did Not Know About,” providing viewers with practical and inspirational financial insights.
Monde Twala, Senior Vice-President and GM of Paramount Africa and Lead of BET International, emphasized the significance of such collaborations: “Partnerships like these are crucial in ensuring we equip today’s youth with the tools to shape their future. Financial freedom is an imperative conversation to be having this Youth Month.
