Johannesburg, South Africa — Music superstars Robot Boii, Kamo Mphela, radio personality Ayanda MVP, and Afro-tech DJ Oara set the stage ablaze with electrifying performances at the first-ever Cheetos Playground. The star-studded event was the ultimate block party, bringing together tastemakers in music, fashion, and content creation to immerse themselves in the Orange Side of Life — celebrating the official launch of global snack brand Cheetos in South Africa.

Hosted by TV personality Tshego Koke at The Nest in Johannesburg, the Cheetos Playground rolled out the Orange Carpet for an audience of celebrities and trendsetters dressed in stylish shades of orange. Notable guests included Lebohang Lephatsoana and Ayakha Ntunja of Younginz (Showmax), models Ponahalo and Nkuley, reality stars Libho Geza and Thabang Mazibuko, actress Tshenolo Seabi, and popular content creators such as Moghelingz, among others.

The event delivered a fully immersive, playful experience complete with show-stopping performances. Robot Boii wowed the crowd with hits including “Tjovi” — a track released in collaboration with Cheetos to celebrate the brand’s South African debut. Amapiano powerhouse Kamo Mphela lit up the dance floor with her high-energy set, while DJs Ayanda MVP and Oara kept guests moving late into the night.

In true Cheetos style, the experience was bold, cheeky, and bursting with flavour — from the custom food and drinks inspired by new Cheetos varieties to interactive installations designed to unlock everyone’s playful side.

“Cheetos globally is such a cool cultural brand, and I was thrilled to lend my brand-new song ‘Tjovi’ to this campaign and get Mzansi dancing,” said South African entertainer Robot Boii. “Headlining the Cheetos Playground has been an incredible experience, and I encourage everyone to get on brand with Cheetos — you can’t hide the fun!”

The Cheetos: Can’t Hide The Fun campaign follows months of strategic collaboration and behind-the-scenes planning, introducing the brand’s iconic mascot Chester Cheetah — and his signature swagger — to South African shelves. The rollout has included playful activations and viral dance challenges featuring top local creators such as Chad Jones, Sky Your Loss, Neevan Ferris, Luyanda Nyembe, and Percy Nyatshi, among others.

“The brand’s arrival is more than just a product launch; it’s a celebration of fun, flavour, and personality,” said Diyaana Allie, Marketing Manager (Snacks) at PepsiCo South Africa. “We’re proud to partner with such dynamic personalities and invite all South Africans to embrace their playful side and join us on the Orange Side of Life.”
