Kalawa Jazzmee front man, Oskido released his Amapiano, kwaito and afro-beat influenced EP, Back To The Future earlier in the year. Revisiting the 3-track EP, Oskido releases the music video for the second single off the EP, Back To The Future.
Featuring music heavy weights, Spikiri, Professor and leading voice in Amapiano, Lady Du. The Fargo Films shot music video let’s fans into a virtual reality experience of what the future of music would look like.
If the single embodied the fusion of classic kwaito and amapiano meeting on a single. The music video personifies this experience. However, the visuals add an additional layer of s’pantsula through the cameo feature of kwaito legend, Jakarumba with his supporting back up dancers.
The result is a moody, dance video which references the past. But is wholly based what the future of contemporary local original sounds will sound and look like in the future.
