After an impressive decade of hits, sold out live tours & appearances at the biggest festivals as well as lots of certified gold and platinum awards, MI CASA, one of South Africa’s most popular and successful pop bands, is now starting the next chapter of their incredible band history! MI CASA are releasing their new single “ROCK3T” on May 26th, presenting a good-vibes-only pop diamond, proving with ease that they are a class of their own. Fans and critics wouldn’t expect anything else anyway, after all MI CASA are a guarantee for that very special energy – on stage and in the studio! “ROCK3T” is MI CASA’s first release with Universal Music Germany after the trio – J’Something (vocals), Dr. Duda (producer, piano) and Mo-T (trumpet) – signed exclusively with Afroforce1 Records / Universal Music Group. While MI CASA have dominated the dancefloors with many hits (most recently together with YouNotUs on “Chucks”), their sound has now taken on stronger pop influences. The focus remains on irresistible melodies, which MI CASA weaves together with strong songwriting and, above all, stories from real life. The new single “ROCK3T” has the uplifting theme of dreaming big and never giving up. MI CASA drew inspiration from their longtime friendship, which has strengthened them as artists and always spurred them on. In the video for their new pop anthem “ROCK3T”, which by the way was filmed in their home country South Africa, MI CASA let old childhood memories and the beginning of every dream – “One day when I’m big, I wanna…” – revive. “ROCK3T” was created together with the Berlin producer duo TVVINS and is the perfect energy and power booster for spring and summer.
