Johannesburg, 18 May 2021: Strongbow in partnership with Africa’s premier music, youth and entertainment channel MTV Base will air an exclusive episode of the Strongbow Big Picnic presents – The Natural Wonder Edition Remixed by MTV this May. It remains one of the most anticipated events of the year and has evolved into an innovative format designed to extend the event to reach more virtual revellers. The episode will feature soul crooner Langa Mavuso and “iMali” hitmaker Big Zulu premiering on MTV Base (DStv channel 322) on May 22 at 15:00 CAT.
Fans will be taken on an immersive viewing experience, as the show blends the melodies of two superstar artists at the spectacular Nirox Sculpture Park. On this special episode, artists will perform a selection of their songs in an acoustic style and a mash-up, combined performance against the backdrop of Mother Nature’s most breath-taking views. The 30-minute performance will be accompanied by a mixologist creating Strongbow cocktails inspired by both the music and the natural surroundings.
The Natural Wonder Edition will give viewers an amazing virtual outdoor escape with music from South Africa’s biggest stars. Viewers will be taken down memory lane as Langa Mavuso performs his soulful classics and excites fans with a one of a kind collaborative performance with “iMali” hitmaker Big Zulu, who will also perform a medley of some of his latest musical offerings.
