 About Mpande Mshaye:

Mpinda Mshaye translates to “bend the bow” and refers to the formal way of greeting someone or showing respect. The track gives great reverence to Brenda Fassie, Lebo Mathosa, and Busi Mhlongo- mega-talented female performers who have since passed on. Ndoni conjures them all up in her affirmation and belief that she carries the spirit of these phenomenal women within her.

With this birthright in mind, she reminds anyone (men especially) who had thoughts of undermining her, to approach with caution. It’s a women’s empowerment anthem that pays homage to the bold, brave, and trail-blazing trio mentioned above.

Ndoni, a former Idols South Africa contestant showcases her soaring vocal ability over an uptempo afro-house instrumental that features a jazzy, maskandi-influenced guitar riff throughout.
