Johannesburg: Friday 9 August 2019, now in it’s third year running Hip-Hop 411 Alpha Females Delight Compilation continues to be the leaders in the culture by commemorating women in the Hip-Hop culture as part South African celebrations of the National Women’s Day. In one of the largest demonstrations staged in this country’s history, 20 000 women of all races marched to Pretoria’s Union Buildings on 9 August 1956, to present a petition against the carrying of passes by women.

This year 2019 we decided to drop a double disc CD Vol3 on the 9th August 2019 which was compiled by MbleeThe Duurt (Former Vuzu Hustle Contestant) and Hip-Hop 411 creative director

Empress Gee who runs a brand called Hip-Hop honors this is true testament that Hip-Hop 411 believes in women and women in Hip-Hop.

As part of an extension to the Alpha Females Delight Compilation Vol 3 release we decided to add Sister in Soul Vol 1 Compilation. Hip Hop 411 continues to build musical bridges, platforms in showcasing and highlighting up and coming artists to the South African and global musical audience. We bring you the first installment in a new musical series called SOUL SISTERS in celebration of AUGUST WOMENS MONTH. NEO-SOUL is known as a by product of Hip Hop, Soul and Jazz music and this series aims to introduce new female Neo-Soul artists to the South African musical landscape. It features a range of artists hailing from DURBAN, CAPE- TOWN, PRETORIA, JOHANNESBURG and PENNSYLVANIA, U.S.A.
