GudGuy has shown a remarkable amount of ambition in recent years. Since he started doing music, he has consistently touched the hearts of his small but devoted fanbase with melodious and carefully crafted songs that embrace life’s quiet moments of beauty. His newest Extended project continues that theme.

Born and bred in Mpumalanga, Nelspruit. Thammy Masinga, also known as GudGuy ,is a divergent multi-genre songwriter and recording artist. His music can be described as Melodious heartfelt stories that take one’s mind through a journey of deep introspection, while contrasted with catchy beats and hooks that keeps listeners coming back for more.

GudGuy’s music echoes influences from some of the greats such as Burna Boy, Ali Gatie, Mzukulu, Wizkid just to name a few. He brings forth a unique and authentic sound that sets him apart which is a fusion of Afrobeats and HipHop. His content and versatility melodic vocals are just a cherry on top. He writes to inspire, make people happy and give hope to the hopeless. He is inspired by all the interactions he’s had with people, moments he’s shared with them, and all the feelings associated with all the experiences life has thrown his way.

GudGuy gained exposure in the music industry when the trio KasiTime rose to fame in 2015 with a song titled Converse – which was later featured in an advertisement of an England based football club – Manchester United. Since then his love for music continued to grow and has decided to explore a solo career. He decided to pursue a solo career and also founded his media company ‘AJ Media’ in 2022 and released his first ever solo single titled “Besiy’dlalela” which features the talented record producer and sound engineer “Spiro Beats”.

The song was inspired by his experience when it comes to relationships. on the song GudGuy speaks about the downs and lows which he faced whenever he tried to give his heart out to someone whom he believed had good intentions.

He then released other three follow up songs which features local artists such as Fizz Munt, Gracax and one international collaboration with the talented Nigerian singer, song writer and producer “Waxzee” GudGuy aims at creating more music catalogs as he continues to introduce his own style of music with the assistance of his producer Spiro Beats and they pride themselves on releasing raw music that speaks to their audience.

GudGuy plans to kickstart the year 2023 with the release of his first debut extended play titled ‘4EVAGUD’ collaborations and features include Spiro Beats, Malcomplicated, King Deepar & Gracax. The project will be released on the 21st of April 2023, under Preme Audio/Ingrooves Africa.
