FOCALISTIC CROWNED AS SOUTH AFRICA’S HOTTEST MC FOR 2020

Johannesburg, 7 December 2020: MTV Base highly anticipated Hottest MCs list was released in a 2-part special that aired on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) on the 3^rd and 4^th December. The special got fans excitement heightened and Mzansi took to social to share their views about this year’s list. After heated debates, rapper Focalistic was crowned as South Africa’s Hottest MC for 2020.

MTV Base Hottest MCs 2020 was hosted by celebrated hip-hop DJ Ms Cosmo joined by panelists who have proven themselves as hip-hop authorities. The show was not without drama with Nota proving to be the most controversial of the panelists, butting heads with the fellow panelists on the criteria of selection. Kyeezi aimed to reign the panel in wanting cooler heads to prevail while Mandisa Ntsinde wanted to ensure that the list had representation. Lula Odiba,  DJ Kaymo, and DJ Venom rounded up this year’s panel.

The Twitter streets were abuzz following the special as #basehottestmcs topped South Africa’s Trends list. Fans and followers got into heated debates of their own divided on who should be crowned as SA’s Hottest MCs.
