DJ Melzi continues the success of the album by sharing the music video for The Streets, which features Cassper Nyovest, Alie Keys and Abidoza. The music video uses parody to showcase each of the starts.
On this single, DJ Melzi enlist Cassper Nyovest to talk about he has left the city boy lifestyle to be in love with the one. Stating that “The Streets” are no good. Casper Nyovest portrayed this story so well showing off his skills is writing, singing, and rapping.
DJ Melzi, for 19 years old, has found his voice in the growing landscape of Amapiano. With his debut album, A 19-Year-Old King, the producer-DJ fully realizes and introduces his voice with an 11-track album which is purely Amapiano- referential, context based, but still encapsulated by the now popular house sub-genre.
The whole music video is cartoon like images of the superstar, shows off Melzi’s lifestyles on being the city boy turned into a young gentle after finding the one he wants to be with.
About The Streets:
On The Streets, Melzi enlists Cassper Nyovest to sing and rap about how he retired his “city boy” cap after finding the one. Cassper Nyovest starts the song by showcasing his vocal ability as he sings the opening verse. The rapper is in element as the song builds transitioning into raps referencing his own love story.
On production, DJ Melzi worked with Alie Keyz and Abidoza to deliver a classic amapiano ballad which ebbs and flows through sweet moments and those that just call for the listener to dance.
