Dubbed the pioneer of New School amapiano, DJ Melzi releases his second single this year with Piano Ungenzani. The single follows the successful release of the La Melza music video, which has been viewed over a million times on YouTube.
The single’s description writes in part, “Bassie’s high-spirited vocal is given a fitting backdrop by Melzi and MFR Souls, who provide a looped piano lead, accompanied by the signature hard kick drums of Bacardi and trademark shakers alongside airy synths.”
The 19-year-old producer-DJ releases Piano Ungenzani as the first single off his upcoming debut album. Moreover, in an effort to promote the album, DJ Melzi has created a special Piano Ungenzani filter on Instagram

Piano Ungenzani is the latest from 19-year old wunderkind producer and self-proclaimed leader of the new school of amapiano, DJ Melzi. The track features Bassie on vocals as well as the combination of Maero and Force Reloaded, the proclaimed Kings of Amapiano known as MFR Souls.
Bassie delivers a rousing vocal, singing about the intoxicating amapiano sound and her willingness to risk it all and give everything up for the music of amapiano. Bassie emphasises how serious she is about amapiano music by referring to the beat of amapiano as a calling that she is giving into.
