Johannesburg, 15 July 2022: Former Idols SA contestant, Dinky Kunene returns to music with a brand new single titled Areyeng.
The singer-songwriter who is best recognized for her vocal ability, teamed up with hitmaking duo Mellow and Sleazy to give birth to Areyeng, a song she describes as an ode to the spirit of Ubuntu “I’ve taken the opportunity to reinforce the spirit of ubuntu through the lyrics, explaining that life is hard and accumulating a stable income is difficult so instead of struggling alone I believe people should work together. There is so much power in collaboration.”
Areyeng is Dinky Kunene’s first release of the year following her recent appearance on TXC’s  brand new EP and her outstanding performance on the popular hit, Hade with Mr Jazziq and DJy Biza.

About Dinky Kunene
She was born Dalene Swartz, in Ennerdale ( Johannesburg) . Dinky Kunene was on Idols SA for two cycles and made it into the Top 10.
Since her appearance on Idols Dinky Kunene, has gone on to create some timeless Amapiano hits, including her collaboration with Sgija pioneer, MDU aka TRP on songs such as Rest and Reason.
In 2021 she released Boomba a song about body positivity and is working on a new project set to hit stores soon.
