SeSotho Hip Hop veterans , Kulax Nthoethata and Msolomba set to release “PAY-DAY” ft Msolomba

2024 seems to be a productive year for the Free State Hip Hop OG, Kulax Nthoethata. He has
recently collaborated with veteran SeSotho rapper, Msolomba, from the SeSotho hip hop pioneering
group –‘
Baleloko’.
The song is titled ‘
Pay-Day’ and it speaks of the dreaded payday stresses of ; debit orders, bills and
all the chest pain causing payments that the working class face every 25th or 30/31st of the each
month.
‘
Pay-day’ is a comical portrayal of these stresses and the ever eloquent Kulax Nthoethata and the
veteran Msolomba drop a very relatable, everyday-people song with a smooth ‘Lo-Fi type beat’.
Both these incredible and seasoned SeSotho-rap giants have grown with their respective audiences
and it is evident in the maturity of writing, delivery and production techniques. The pair have
previously collaborated on a song titled ‘
Mmamenate’ which was on Kulax’s 2016 album, ‘
Stru Waar 8
LP’.
‘
Pay-Day’ will , ironically, be released on all digital streaming platforms as of the 25th of June 2024.
